Chinese angelica tree. A large shrub from Northeastern Asia, growing to 5 m (16 ft) high. The young shoots are edible (cooked) with an angelica flavour. The stem and roots are used medicinally. Bees also like the plant. Likes a partly shaded site; hardy to -20°C. Stratification: CS13. Number of seeds: 100.
