Calvados Domaine Dupont VSOP, fine, quality Calvados. This VSOP is a bright golden colour, with an intense yet soft nose of oak, vanilla and apple, and a supple mouth which also offers subtle almond. Made from a combination of apples which give optimum acidity. The poor clay and oxfordian marl soils produce very small apples, which increases the aromatic intensity and pulp-to-skin ratio. The double distillation happens 6 months after the fermentation, and the resulting spirit is then aged for 5 years in oak barrels, 25% of which are new.
