With 18 hectares of vineyards planted on granite slopes at 100m above sea level, the domaine is a veritable museum of Corsican viticultural history and heritage. The domaine is home to some of the oldest and rarest indigenous grape varieties of Corsica including the red grapes Morescola, Morescono, Aleatico, Carcajolo Nero, Montanaccia, Sciaccarello and Nielluccio, and the white, Vermentino, Rosso Brandinca, Riminese, Carcajolo Bianco, Biancone, Brustiano, Bianco Gentile, Genovese, Rossola Bianca and Paga Debiti. Current winemaker, Jean-Charles Abbatucci, converted to Biodynamic farming in 2000 and has been committed to the approach ever since. Abbatucci is a long standing member of the 'Renaissance des Appellations' association which promotes biodynamic farming. 'For us, biodynamics imposes a philosophy of life, for oneself but also, and above all, at the service of nature and its cultivation. Agriculture is an adaptation of nature for man and not by man.' Jean-Charles These are very special wines which inspire and delight when drinking. Although premium, the prices reflect an incredible commitment and dedication to excellence in wine production from Jean Charles, his daughter Faustine and their team. The wines are the truest expression of Corsica, its history and vinous heritage.
