100% recycled vegan imitation silk organza (by the yard)

Description This smooth, very strong, organza fabric is made in Japan from 100% recycled PET (think soda bottles), keeping plastic out of our oceans and soil. It’s a high quality and affordable option for stitchers who prefer not to use animal products. Available in three colors: white, black, and taupe. Organza is a naturally stiff fabric that is very sheer and can be shaped easily. It’s also very light, making it an ideal base for beading, tambour, aari, goldwork, and other forms of embellished embroidery. Because it has a loose weave, organza has a tendency to fray, so we recommend ordering a slightly bigger piece that you would normally need, and sewing a loose straight stitch or zigzag stitch near the edge to keep it from unraveling while you work.
