Zweigart waste canvas (by the yard)

Description 100% cotton white evenweave waste canvas for doing cross-stitch, tatreez, blackwork, and other forms of counted stitchwork on top of non-evenweave fabrics. Great for adding cross-stitch designs to clothing, linens, bags, or other soft goods. Available by the yard in the following counts: 8.5, 10, 12, 14, and 18 (stitches per inch). All are 23 inches/60cm wide, except for the 14-count canvas, which is 26.75 inches/68cm wide and comes with pre-printed horizontal gridlines to mark every five stitches. When finished stitching, wet canvas threads to remove starch. Remove threads individually when fully dry, starting with the shortest threads. Tweezers can also be helpful. Also available by the square inch, including extra large (6.5-count) and extra small (25-count).
